Here is NOR/flyer for the upcoming M Scow Easterns to be held at Seaside Park YC on Saturday, September 19th.
Please note $10 annual Eastern M-Scow District dues will be collected that day (separate from registration fee).Checks may be payable to EMSD.
Also, if anyone would like to contribute, we will be taking voluntary contributions ($25?) to help offset the costs of a mast development program. Certain fittings are available in Australia and therefore expensive to buy & ship.

The LEHYC Cordially invites all M 16 Scow sailors to the North American Championship being held concurrently with our annual Invitational Down Bay Regatta on August 15th and 16th, 2009.

Please Submit your Housing Request ASAP, limited housing is available on a first come-first served basis.
Note that Beach Haven is a resort area, it is unlikely that you can find a hotel at the last minute!

Schedule of Remaining Races:
I-20s will have a total of five races scheduled. No race will be started after noon on Sunday, June 21 if at least one race has been completed. M-16s will have six races scheduled. No race will be started after noon on Sunday, June 21 if at least three races have been completed. In any case, no race shall start after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21.
Eligibility
The Regatta is open to skippers who comply with the requirements prescribed by the ILYA bylaws and are Family, Regular, Youth, or Life members of the ILYA. Crew become members of the Association by virtue of thei r yacht’s completed registration. Social
Lunch and dinner tickets will be available at registration. The bar will be open during Friday’s registration. We will recommend a restaurant for all of the sailors who want dinner. A complimentary continental breakfast will be available on race mornings beginning at 7:00am. Lunches will be available on both race days. Saturday evening we will be hosting a dinner for all of the sailors. The bar will be open after racing on each day.
Fees
The entry fee is $80 per boat for the I-20 Invitational and $100 per boat for the M-16 Championship. Entries should be submitted on-line or on the official ILYA Regatta Entry form. Entries postmarked or otherwise received after June 6 will incur late fees as specified in ILYA By-law 12.18.3. The Regatta Entry form, which includes the Waiver of Liability and other pertinent information, may be found in Scow Slants and on-line.
Entry is free for skippers sailing their first ILYA Adult Class Regatta,=2 0and who contact the ILYA office and register prior to or on the early registration deadline.
A 50% youth-aged skipper discount is available to qualifying skippers in the M-16 class who register prior to or on the early registration deadline. Trophies Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each class. The M-16 Championship will be sailing for perpetual race trophies as well.
Risks
Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor, or in the case of minors, each competitor’s parent or guardian, agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law
Rules
1. Except as any of the following are altered by the Sailing Instructions, the regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association, the Rules and Bylaws of the ILYA, and the scantling rules of the National Inland 20 Scow Sailing Association.
2. Advertising will be restricted to Category A.

Courses
The racing area will be the navigable waters of Cedar Lake on courses described in the Sailing Instructions.

Registration
Eligible boats may enter by three means:
1) Registering on the ILYA website (www.ilya.org). To register for the regatta click HERE.
2) Completing an official ILYA Regatta Entry Application and sending it, together with the required fee, to the ILYA at PO Box 311, Fontana, WI 53125. These are in Scow Slants.
3) Faxing to ILYA at 262-203-7722.
All entries must be postmarked or otherwise received by June 6 to avoid late penalties per ILYA By-law 12.18.3.d. Fax and Internet registrations require credit card information.
